Linux and Main: Caldera Clarifies 'Everybody-Fired' Rumors

"Those who follow events at Caldera International, including many who have friends there through a once-active distribution-user community, were startled Monday by a report that the entire OpenLinux group had been laid off.

"Monday afternoon, Caldera said that there have been some layoffs and some employees have been hired by SuSE to work on UnitedLinux, but there are still Caldera employees involved in Linux.

"The rumors began when an anonymous email message purporting to be from a former Caldera employee circulated through mailing lists populated by current and former Caldera users..."
