University of Maastricht: Free/Libre and Open Source Software: Survey and Study

The FLOSS (Free/Libre/Open Source Software) study from the University of Maastricht has published its final report.

One of its five parts is the developer survey that culled data from developers in the European Union.

The results of the survey show that Debian is the preferred distribution, GNOME the preferred desktop, and vi more popular than Emacs. This survey also handles economic, law-related, and motivational aspects among developers.
