"There's no question that tight, centralized management of desktop systems can deliver companies shortened deployment time, simpler system patching and more predictable performance. Featurewise, thin clients fit the centralized management bill by locating the operating system and all user data on a shared server, but this model isn't always feasible. For instance, thin clients rely on constant network connectivity, so the model breaks down for mobile users.
