"About two weeks ago Linus Torvalds was reported as having said
that Solaris has nothing to teach him. That surprised me because my
mental picture of Linux is that of a typical early 1990s
megakernel--years ahead of Microsoft's Windows servers, but not
exactly state of the art by any standard and far behind both BSD
and Solaris.
"Unfortunately, experience has taught me to believe that about
half of everything I know for sure is wrong. So how wrong am I
about this...?"
