"Pune-based International Institute of Information Technology (I2IT) has developed a low-cost personal computer--NiceTop--costing around Rs 10,000 [US$229/€180] for use in rural India and expects to launch it in the next two-three months.

"'We are ready with the prototype of the machine. However, we need around Rs 30-40 lakh [US$68,815-91,754/€53,940-71,914]more of investments before we can commercially launch the product,' I2IT dean (Academics and International Relations) Sunil Patil said on Tuesday..."
