"I recently compiled FileZilla 3 from CVS after coming across this great open source ftp client for Windows which, as part of the FileZilla 3 roadmap, is being ported over to Linux. The application uses wxWidgets resulting in a consistent look and feel with the Gnome Desktop.

"Instead of issuing the usual warning of not using software from CVS in case it has certain problems (which is quite likely) etc, I present you with a screenshot of the initial dialog which appears before the application loads..."
