[ Thanks to orvils for this link. ]

From the Contributor:

Ubuntuguide--the unofficial starter guide for Ubuntu Linux users has been upgraded and updated for Ubuntu 5.10. Ubuntuguide now lives on wiki, so anyone can contribute and some people have already done so. The new Ubuntuguide has been translated to Polish, Russian, and Latvian.

At EasyLinux.info you can also find similar guide for Mandriva Linux. The idea of these guides is to help Linux users to do things in simple, easy and "Just works" style.
