"The Open-Xchange Server has changed hands several times since its inception. It spawned from Netline, which then integrated it into SUSE's OpenExchange server. When Novell purchased SUSE it dropped 'SUSE' from the product's name and released its own branded Open-Xchange. At this point, Novell, perhaps confused by the product's changing nomenclature, agreed to provide support services for Netline's version of Open-Xchange.

"Then, Netline muddied the waters and released the core Open-Xchange code under the GPL and became Open-Xchange. Currently, it distributes both a commercial and a free open source version, and Novell appears to no longer sell it..."
