:10 Gadgets: My Review of Switching to Linux (Ubuntu)
10 Gadgets: My Review of Switching to Linux (Ubuntu)

"Over the years, I have seriously considered switching to Linux, and even tried a few times. The first time I did was around 3 years ago, and I installed Fedora Linux in dual boot with Windows XP. I enjoyed using it, but I began to use Windows for more and more stuff, and used Linux very little. Then, I got a new computer, and installed Windows XP on it. Everything worked fine, so I continued to use Windows, until around a year ago I decided to try out Ubuntu Linux. I installed it, and it worked, but I didn't really use it very much again. I reformatted the hard drive it was on (BAD idea... it destroys the boot part for Linux, and I couldn't boot into Linux, OR Windows). I ended up screwing the boot manager, and losing windows and Linux. So, I reinstalled Windows since I didn't have much free time to play around with Windows.

"That brings me up to about a month ago, when I was out of school for the summer, and decided to install Ubuntu since I had heard so much good stuff about it..."
