"Getting back on track with the ATI fglrx Linux content, since
the 50-day trial ended on July 20 there have been two driver
releases--8.27.10 and 8.28.8. The fglrx 8.27.10 drivers had
introduced X.Org v7.1 support, Radeon X1000 series TV-out support,
Fedora Core packaging support, and a few small fixes. The X.Org
v7.1 support had shipped without support for the OpenGL
GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap extension, which is needed for AIGLX.
ATI had beat NVIDIA to supporting X.Org v7.1, as NVIDIA had only
delivered their supportive drivers last month. The Fedora Core
packaging scripts now support Fedora Core 3/4/5/6 with both 32-bit
and 64-bit packages..."
