"Even though Linspire has not been at the kind-end-of-the-stick within much of the Linux community these days, they did manage to score some points when they began offering FreeSpire to the masses. Everything was grooving right along and then it happened--the problems with their existing method of software distribution started to falter beyond hope. CNR is now totally inaccessible to a large number of accounts holders, mine included...

"There are a fair number of Linspire CNR subscribers who have signed up for the company's lifetime service. They in turn paid out a nice chunk of coin only to now discover that this no longer applies. As of this moment, you only have to pay for the Gold Level CNR service and not that of their standard CNR service. To say this left a number of people feeling betrayed is certainly an understatement..."
