"There are a number of ways to integrate and utilize the events, but the most advanced and effective event output and integration mechanism is the Nagios Event Broker (NEB). NEB, which can check results, uses callback routines that are executed when events occur on the Nagios server.

"Using NEB you can write broker modules to process these events, converting them from Nagios into a variety of forms, including MySQL databases, SNMP traps or syslog messages. You can also use the event data in other applications and tools..."
