"PCLOS is a distribution created by Texstar and crew that is based off of Mandriva. PCLOS is RPM-based, but offers Synaptic/apt-get for upgrading and updating the system. PCLOS comes in the form of an installable LiveCD, which is a great way to try out the system before deciding whether or not you want to install the system to the hard drive. This distribution's meant for Linux newcomers, but is also powerful enough for the most hardened system administrator.
