"Microsoft Corp.'s announcement last week that they'll sell a $3
software bundle to students in poor countries is a positive move
that won't hurt the One Laptop Per Child (OLPC) effort, said a
member of the non-profit group's board on Tuesday.
"'For the good of the world, it's a positive thing,' said
Michael Evans, vice-president of corporate and business development
for Linux provider Red Hat Inc. and a director with Cambridge,
Mass.-based OLPC, which is building what is widely known as the
'$100 laptop...'"
