"Due to concern over the effect of Stephan Gregoire’s injury in yesterday’s practice session and how it may affect our participation in the Indianapolis 500 on Sunday, May 27, we thought it would be helpful to clarify the qualifying procedure for the race and explain why there is little reason for concern regarding our participation as a result of this incident.

"Qualifying for the Indianapolis 500 takes place over four days over two consecutive weekends. 33 cars will start the race in 11 rows of 3 cars each..."
