"With the news of Linspire's CNR coming soon to Ubuntu, and Automatix now offering a limited number of closed source, commercial applications, what possible consequences will this have on the Linux community and open source as a whole?

"Most casual Linux users appear to be generally unconcerned, while purists are completely up in arms. I suspect that many purists are concerned about possible contamination of open source as a whole and fear the potential for quality being lost in the shuffle. In short, who knows what their deal is...?"
