"As KDE 4 alpha 2 was released I tested the live CD. For the interested reader I took some screenshots that can be of interest. First, lets start with the non-KDE 4 details. The boot menu and login screen book work as expected. After having logged in as the normal user (not root), the KDE 4 desktop started.

"The desktop screenshot shown here is actually not the first desktop. It seems that klipper failed to find the new kicker and some other application (KMixCtrl) crashed. Nothing strange about that--this is early alpha software..."
