"Having heard much--nearly all of it positive--about the Fedora
Project's latest offering, Fedora 8, I decided to change direction
somewhat and review this GNU/Linux distribution on a Power
Macintosh G4. Remember, the Fedora distribution is officially
supported on, as of this version, three processing architectures:
x86 (32-bit), x86-64 (also known as AMD64), and PowerPC.
"What inspired this idea is my experience with another
distribution I tried last year, Edubuntu GNU/Linux Edgy Eft. This
distribution did show differences in the state of the packages'
functionality in several cases when going to PowerPC. I wanted to
see if the maintainers of Fedora were consistent with their
