"Last week, Novell began shipping SUSE Linux Enterprise Real
Time 10 for running high-performance, time-sensitive applications,
and apparently Red Hat is feeling a bit threatened.
"Note to Red Hat: this is open source, remember? Novell is
shipping tested and enterprise-hardened Linux with real time
capabilities. Just because Red Hat is again late to market (see
enterprise Linux desktop, Xen virtualization, etc.) doesn't mean
Linux contains 'beta code...'"

Some Mud!
"So, first of all--I don't have first hand knowledge of what was
said, or what was not said by the Red Hat executive to the blog
author. But, let's dabble in the hypothetical for a moment by way
of analogy. Just hear me out on this...
"It's the holiday season in the Americas and that means people
are buying gifts for their friends and family in celebration. All
the while, retailers seem to offer special 'limited-time' sales
which offer you seemingly better and better pricing as the holiday
season approaches. To get the 'best price' should you buy your gift
on black Friday? mid-December? Christmas Eve? How about early
November? or why not wait until after Dec 25 and take advantage of
clearance sales...?"
