"Hyperic, a developer of open-source Web infrastructure management software, continues to spin its own Web of alliances. After launching a common services platform project with Linux vendor Red Hat earlier this year, Hyperic has struck a deal to build its systems management API into Terracotta's open-source Java clustering software.

"Under the OEM deal Terracotta is incorporating Hyperic's cross-platform, cross-language SIGAR (systems information gathering and reporter) programming interface into Terracotta 2.6, the latest release of the vendor's software..."
