"1. When dragging and dropping files and/or folders between locations in the file manager (Krusader, Konqueror, etc), there will always be four options available to you: Move, Copy, Link, and Cancel. Don't just point, click, click and forget about it like you do in Windows. Be sure you know what you want to do when dragging and dropping.

This might seem like an additional step that you shouldn't have to take, but in reality, it's a blessing in disguise. Instead of having to do some weird key combination in order to do something different than the default behavior, you're given the four possible behaviors you can perform in a menu that asks you each time you drag a file between drives or folders."
