Preston Gralla: Why you Shouldn't Care

"He tries to make the point that Linux use, as measured by Net
Applications has crossed the 1% market share barrier as
insignificant, really then why do you talk about it all the time.
You mention it in your Computerworld article and in numerous blog
post. Sounds like that 1% sure caught your attention.
"Then there is the ever so quoted by Preston Gralla that Linux
is dead on the netbook. Well the netbook market has changed and
Microsoft is the culprit I’ll grant you that, but everyone
fails to mention that for Microsoft to achieve this they had to
drastically discount the licensing and in some cases actually give
away Windows XP Home Edition to the OEMs."
