"The SI-28 appears to be a more powerful version of the AMD Sempron-based SI-24S digital signage PC (pictured below, right), which Ibase began shipping in March. The SI-28 supports a single- or dual-core Athlon, or the quad-core X4 (Phenom) processor, which can be clocked at up to 2.8GHz. Graphics are provided with the ATI E4690 GPU (graphics processing unit), which boasts 320 stream processor cores and 512MB of GDDR3 video memory, says Ibase. Up to 4GB of dual-channel DDR2 800MHz system memory is said to be available via dual SODIMMs.
"Whereas the SI-24S offered two DVI video ports, which were said to support HDMI options via expansion cables, the SI-28 comes without four independent HDMI outputs that are claimed to support 1080p HD video. I/O includes a gigabit Ethernet port, four USB 2.0 ports, and two COM ports. Options for WiFi, 3G, or a TV tuner are said to be available via dual PCIe minicard interfaces. A 2.5-inch bay supports an internal hard disk drive (HDD), or a solid state disk (SSD), says Ibase."
