"On the front with the products which support free software and drivers, things don’t look much better. While I’m sure it must be somewhere in the 603-page “datasheet” of the chip set, I just couldn’t find anything about max resolutions. And the ready products? Again, most makers don’t give you numbers, while others say something like 1920×1080. Hello? Are we nowadays watching movies all day? I prefer 16:10 instead of 16:9, and while I don’t care what other people do (and buy), I would miss those additional 120 lines (that’s about 2.5 times the height of both menu bars of Gnome, or almost 5 times the height of a single one). A loss, if you leave them away, at least for work."
