The KDE 4 Journey

"Right now, I find that RC1 of 4.3 to be more stable than the
final 4.0 release. I am running 4.3 RC1 on Jaunty and I think there
is enough stability, speed, reconfigurability and eye candy. In the
mean while, I did have to go on a fair amount of an adventure ride.
I tried using GNOME for the umpteenth time(have tried it several
times before in my 8 years with Linux) and failed to convince
myself once more, that I could use it. I even tried using it on
MintOS 7, which has a far more friendlier default look, feel and
configuration. I still had no success with GNOME."
