"The Mandriva developers have announced the availability of the
first alpha of what will become Mandriva Linux 2010 Spring
(2010.1). The developers note that the first alpha is mostly an
upgrade to the included third-party software, stating that, "the
planned changes to Mandriva's own tools and systems are not ready
for inclusion in a public pre-release".
"Mandriva 2010 Spring Alpha 1 is based on the 2.6.32 RC3 Linux
kernel and includes updates to the major desktop components."
