"Sadly, the tradition of using only stock KDE components in
Kubuntu continues in 10.04. While the splash screen is nice, and
the log in screen is also a nice improvement, everything else looks
exactly the same as it would in any other Linux distribution using
KDE 4.4. It's not that KDE 4.4 looks bad (actually, it's the most
beautiful desktop out there) but the problem is the look and feel
is exactly the same as you'd get if you used vanilla sources, and
no customizations were made anywhere. While the theme is likely the
first thing most people change when they install an operating
system, it would have been nice if Kubuntu went the extra mile and
customized the theme as they used to do back in the good ol'
days."
