Microsoft turning into a toothless tiger?

"Many moons ago ( and I am not talking about those drunken moons at passing cars :), while the IT jungle was still fresh and green. There was a big blue king of the jungle. This top monkey position was usurped by an up and coming tiger that, while the tigers name seemed small and soft, it wasn't afraid to show its teeth. With a snarl here and a snarl there and everywhere a patent lawsuit this tiger ruled the pack for many, many years.

"This fierce feline ruled with an iron will, subjugating everyone to its terms and conditions. However, like any monopolising leader, there were those, who while they agreed to the way of the tigers life, they did not want to pay the taxes. So these people tried to stay off the grid and at the same time the troubled tiger tried to take their taxes to the treasury.

"While this empire was growing there was, stuck on the sidelines, a fruity bunch who simply tried to market their image as being the only cool, hip and with it guys in town. Not succeeding, yet not failing, these people morphed into a cult leadership with a rapidly growing following. This cult, which worships a fruit..."
