Ubuntu _ open or not?

"There has been a push for a couple of years now to turn Ubuntu into a "piece of art". Now we have 10.04 that comes with a set of new tools for music, video and online services. Trying to out Apple, one new change is an online music store called Ubuntu One, which is integrated with the Rhythmbox app.

"That is the good news. The bad news is that the songs won't come in MP3 format but a proprietary and patented format."
