"The Amiga was one of the most powerful PC's of it's time, easily trumping the emerging IBM PC's in the 80's. You can relive this classic PC on your Linux desktop thanks to a number of emulators that are available.

"The first Amiga I ever saw was one owned by a friend. We would spend hours after school playing the many games that were available, as well as trying our hand at photo editing, 3D rendering, and all the other cool things that only an Amiga could do well.

"For those looking to recreate the Amiga experience on their Linux PC there are a number of options. The best option, because it is legal, is Amiga Forever. Amiga Forever provides legal access to the KickStart ROMs that are required to run the emulators UAE and Fellow. The Amiga Forever website also has some handy links to demoscene websites, as well as links to sites that list games that have been provided for free and legal download by their copyright holders."
