"The Khronos Group announced that finalizing the OpenGL
4.1 specifications had been completed and that its release would be
immediate. The new API specification is fully backwards compatible
and adds several new features including 64-bit floating-point
component shader inputs for higher geometric precision and the
ability to query and load binary for a shader program
objects."
