"One thing I love about Linux is the ability to
customize it in every way possible, and one such ability is the
possibility of changing keyboard shortcuts. Though the default
keyboard shortcuts are always useful when it comes to having a good
speed, creating some of my own shortcuts makes my workflow much
more efficient. Here are some of the custom shorcuts I use on a
daily basis.
"The shorcuts are based on the Alt combo key; mainly because
it's right below my thumb hence a lot easier to reach as compared
to the Ctrl key, and being a KDE4 user, it's no surprise that the
Alt key is the most used key on my keyboard as I use
Krunner(Alt+F2) a lot. Now the shortcuts I've set include the Alt
key along with an alphabet key to access my most used applications;
and, I choose the alphabets in such a way that I never forget the
combination. Using Alt+Tab for switching and Alt+F4 for closing
applications speeds up things dramatically."
