"We recently argued that Microsoft's mobile business is now
little more than a fantasy--because, among other things, Microsoft
wants to charge $15 per copy for Windows Phone 7 licenses while
Google gives Android away for free.
"Well, a person familiar with Microsoft's mobile strategy
immediately squawked, arguing that Android comes with all sort of
hidden costs that drive up the per-unit expenses such that
Microsoft's $15 per unit actually seemed like a better deal.
