"There's no denying that every operating system has its own little foibles, but some shortcomings are more infuriating than others, says Jack Wallen.

"Just because I champion the use of Linux does not mean I think it's perfect. In fact, I have issues with just about every operating system available. These issues don't relate to third-party software — just the operating system itself.

"1. Windows and its secrecy
One of the things I hate about Windows is the way it hides everything. If you have a problem, it is hard to know where to look for an answer. If you are running a server flavour of Windows, you could look in various notification alerts. But beyond that, when bad something goes wrong, Windows simply doesn't want to let you know why."
