"Oregon State University's ties with CrisisCommons will deepen
now that the global aid organization has landed a $1.2 million
grant from the Alfred P. Sloan Foundation.

2010 to enable collaboration between volunteers worldwide using the
Internet, open source technology, data collection tools and other
means. It has since responded to the earthquake in Chile, the Gulf
Coast oil spill, and floods in Tennessee and Pakistan."
