"Eben Upton, director of the Raspberry Pi Foundation, has been
working on the project for many years, and decided to share a
couple of very early prototypes for the $25 PC with the
community.
"The image you see above is of those experimental boards that
date back to 2006. If nothing else, it makes you realize how long
this super-cheap PC has been in development, or at least how long
Eben has been trying to make it happen."
