"Due to Overwhelming Demand, Torvalds to Participate in Panel Discussion/Debate"
"IDG World Expo announced today that due to the overwhelming enthusiasm from the Linux community demonstrated at the LinuxWorld Conference & Expo from March 1 - 4, 1999, more than 6,000 attendees united on this facility just to hear Linus Torvalds speak. To this end, Linus will be speaking on a panel titled "The Continuing Revolution," which will take place today at 4:00pm PST with key industry luminaries Richard Stallman, Guido Van Rossum and Larry Wall, moderated by Eric S. Raymond. The panel is expected to take place in Exhibit Hall 1 of the San Jose Convention Center in San Jose, CA."
""As a result of yesterday's outpouring by the Linux community to receive guidance from their leader, Linus Torvalds, IDG World Expo has made a special request to have Linus return for a second day keynote to include the above key industry visionaries for this exciting, stimulating, interactive discussion and debate," says Charlie Greco, president, IDG World Expo."
