"Silicon Graphics Inc. (SGI) today announced it will sell its Cray supercomputer business to Tera Computer Co. in exchange for cash, notes and common stock."

"SGI will retain the rights to its modular, scalable NUMA technology, and will announce new systems based on that technology and advanced clustering techniques later this year."
