"Penguin Computing Inc., leading provider of reliable Linux
systems for Internet serving, today announced that it has
opened a central regional sales office in Houston. The new
office, which follows the establishment of an eastern regional
sales office, continues the company's aggressive expansion
throughout the United States."
"The company also has hired Terry L. Stewart, a high-tech sales
veteran, as central regional sales manager. Stewart, who previously
worked for VA Linux Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:LNUX), is charged with
managing Penguin Computing's central U.S. sales operations to
better serve existing customers and to win those yet to experience
the benefits of partnering with the company."
"Our new sales office will bring us closer to customers in this
important region from the Rocky Mountains to the Mississippi," said
Rick Blair, Penguin Computing's vice president of sales. "Adoption
of our products in this area is increasing rapidly, and we're
committed to helping our customers do business with us the way they
want -- over the Web, by phone or face to face."
