"The economic slowdown is the big factor standing between Corel
Corp. and more profitable results, the software company said
yesterday."
"We're ahead of schedule in getting our costs where we want them
to be," chief financial officer John Blaine said. "It's the
uncertainty with revenues ... "
"Corel confirmed its previously announced small profit of
$534,000 in the quarter ending Feb. 28 on sales of $32.5 million. A
year earlier it lost $12.4 million on on sales of $44.1
million."
