Forbes/Reuters: Metron Launches Brazil's Line of Linux PCs

"Brazil's top computer maker, Metron, unveiled on Thursday a new line of computers that will run the Linux operating system, banking on their cheaper price tag to lure reluctant consumers.

"The new line of personal computers, laptops and servers will be the first from a Brazilian computer maker to run Linux, a collaboratively developed, free operating system that is becoming increasingly popular worldwide.

"Metron's Linux line will sell for 20 percent less than those that use Microsoft Corp.'s Windows operating system..."
