"I hear you were keen to attend this conference, although LinuxWorld was on in New York at the same time?

"I've been to LinuxWorld every time, this may be the first one I've actually missed. It's been going two or three years and I gave a keynote at the first one, but just because I don't like giving talks... Linuxworld is big and commercial and serious, but maybe because of that, it's not as interesting.

"This one is more technical--like, you probably wouldn't go to any of the tutorials? It's worlds apart from show-type conferences where you have vendors trying to sell their wares. And technical conferences, they don't even compare. And I think the technical ones are more fun..."
