"One of the more intriguing aspects of the MSBlast outbreak,
other than why don't people patch (on which subject, I am beginning
to think that a new generation of network admin types is spawned
every year who are genetically conditioned not to read books or the
papers and believe that the old way of doing things is bunkum--or,
possibly more believably, NIH) is Sun's Mad Hatter sign-up.
"Since Sun have nothing to offer in the short term, what are
potential signees signing up for? A more secure desktop? One can
hardly imagine that Sun believe that they are immune to the kinds
of attention that Microsoft gets..."
