"In a marriage of popular open-source software providers, MySQL will bundle its database server with the application server of JBoss Group to make the deployment of applications more fluid.

"Financial arrangements of the deal were not revealed, but the companies will jointly market JBoss Group professional services and MySQL AB products and services, both main revenue sources for the companies, which announced the alliance at LinuxWorld in New York City Wednesday.

"JBoss Group plans to make its Java-based application server easy to install with MySQL's database server family, which includes the company's flagship database, and MaxDB by MySQL, the enterprise-class database product the company developed with Germany's SAP..."
