"In several occasions, Steve Ballmer expressed that Linux was
the biggest enemy of Microsoft. Because of its cheap prices, Linux
is favored by IBM and SUN who intend to oust Microsoft from the
sever market. Linux is rather popular in the world sever
market.
"Governments' preference to Linux really makes trouble for
Microsoft. For the special clients such as governments, security is
everything. No governments are willing to be controlled in the
national information security.
"However, Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. seemed not to worry about
this. Spokesman for Microsoft (China) Co., Ltd. said that the three
countries only expected to have more choices, and would not replace
one by another definitely..."
