Jambo OpenOffice.org 1.1.3, the first version of OpenOffice to support the Swahili language, was released on Saturday.
Swahili is the most commonly spoken African language -- it is the chief trade language of East Africa and is the first language of at least 70 million people living in areas such as Kenya, Tanzania, Congo, and Uganda, according to the team working on Kilinux, the Swahili Localization Project.
