"Brazilian software supplier Tecso Informatica aims to penetrate
the small health company market by launching an open-source version
of its business management software system MultiMED, local daily
Gazeta Mercantil reported.
"The new system, MultiMED Small Business, uses the open-source
databank PostGreSQL. Open-source software permits the company to
avoid licensing costs which amount to roughly US$200 [€151]
per machine, according to Tecso director John Forman..."
