"Ross Chevalier, CIO and CTO for Novell Canada, said he would
expect Linux-owning SMB percentages to hit the 18 per cent mark by
the end of 2006. He agreed with AMI-Partners' view that North
America lags behind Europe in terms of Linux adoption rates; he
said we're about 12 months behind the times.
"However, Chevalier also disputed the IT consultancy's assertion
that there is a dearth of applications slowing Linux adoption on
servers and desktops..."
