"Last month's appearance of Linux vendor vocational education
and training (VET) certificate courses could mark a turning point
in the IT industry.
"The short supply of inexpensive, skilled Linux technicians
seems to be all that is holding back the free operating system's
advance into small and medium-sized business. This is why
commercial Linux vendor Red Hat is doing deals with TAFE colleges,
with internationally recognised 'break and fix' certifications
starting at $250 [US$198/€150]..."
