Tectonic: Novell's Biggest Open Source Competitor: Apple

"A report by Gartner claims that Novell's stiffest competition for the small and medium business server space will come not from Microsoft, but Apple.

"The report, entitled Apple vs Novell: an unlikely battle for SMB open-source relevance, claims that companies looking for open source alternatives to Microsoft are going to a better match with Apple than Novell. 'Novell will struggle to find a relevant product offering for the SMB community,' the report predicts, while 'Apple will be increasingly recognized as the open-source platform of choice for the SMB community...'"
